Opening for a Responsible Housekeeper for 2 Houses at Sea Ranch
We are looking for a responsible, reliable housekeeper for two homes at Sea Ranch, to clean after vacation renter stays (about 50 cleans per year per home).
One house has about 1200 sq.ft., 2 bedrooms and 2 baths, the other has 1700 sq.ft., 2 bedrooms and 3 baths.
We do not permit children, pets and smoking. Each house has a hot tub which we ourselves maintain, but which the housekeeper is expected to inspect and "feed" with bromine tablets and water, if the level is low.
We charge a cleaning fee to our renters with two options: for a lower fee, they will wash, dry, and fold all linens and towels used from our supplies; and for a higher fee they leave this to the housekeepers.
Renters will leave all beds they used unmade and for the housekeeper to make. Housekeeper will clean and sanitize all used bathrooms and the kitchen, and vacuum as necessary.
We are looking for a housekeeper who is cooperative and will communicate with us via e-mail. Whenever new rentals are booked, we will immediately e-mail the dates, occupancy and cleaning option they chose to the housekeeper. We will look for housekeeper comments regarding renter damages noticed and requests for replenishing supplies which we will promptly arrange.
Our renter check-in and check-out times are 3:00 PM and 11:00 AM, respectively. Occasionally we have "same day turn-overs" (a new renter will check in on the same day the previous renter checked out), which requires that the cleaning is required to be done between 11 AM and 3 PM. If a new rental is not scheduled for the check-out date, we like to give our renters extended check-out (by 2PM). Cleaning can then be done in the afternoon or the following day. Similarly, if no previous renter is checking out on a new renter's check-in date, we like to accommodate early check-in (noon). But our primary accommodation is to our housekeeper. We will never grant early check-in or late check-out if this makes problems for their housekeeping schedule.
We prefer to be billed by the hour (not by cleaning event) and will pay within a day or two after receipt of the housekeeper's informal invoice. You do not need to be incorporated, insured, or bonded, but we will informally contract directly with you as our housekeeper. Your name and identity will not be disclosed to our renters, and you will not be expected to interact in any way with them. For tax purposes, at year end we will issue a Form 1099-misc to you.
We expect this to become a long-term professional housekeeping relationship. Utmost reliability and timeliness is essential for us.
